NGC869
& NGC884 Perseus Double Cluster
Open
clusters NGC884, left, and NGC869 right are about 7600 lightyears from
Earth and considered quite close to each other at "only" a few hundred
lightyears apart. Wonderful to view in a small telescope, they are even
visible to the naked eye from a very dark sight, appearing as
a
small patch of fog. North is at the top.
